PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Semo is a design project briefed by Peugeot. We had to think about what Peugeot’s User Experience could be in 2040. The result was a concept of a user interface and community vehicles, in a pretty exotic setting.
From now to 2040, global warming will have increased a lot, causing even more natural catastrophes and the melting of a big part of the polar ice.
We chose to set ourselves in Antarctica in a fictional city called Semo (“seed” in Esperanto), which could be used as a metaphorical lighthouse for the rest of humanity, in both technological and social ways. We presented a new image of Peugeot, with a dematerialized experience of mobility.
You can check the video support we used for the final presentation here!
It’s not a video game project, but it’s a good example of how I can use my game development skills and knowledge in other fields.
WHAT WENT WELL
+ I had the chance to work with a game artist, two industrial designers, and two animators. It was a unique experience to merge our creative processes, in a good mood for everyone. We discovered and shared our different experiences in a project which was very motivating for all of us.
+ Because of our different creative processes, it was sometimes not that easy to share our thoughts to merge our visions, but it was a challenging exercise we happily did.
WHAT I LEARNED
Sharing knowledge, technics, and creative processes is a very important thing in our field of work.
